Sign Your Master Promissory Note (MPN) to Get Your Federal School Loans

Before you can receive your first Direct Subsidized Loan &/or Direct Unsubsidized Loan, you must complete your entrance counseling & sign a Master Promissory Note (MPN).

Entrance Counseling: A requirement from the government for you to complete to ensure you understand the responsibilities & obligations you are assuming from the loans.

Master Promissory Note (MPN): is a legal document that require your signature & last for up to 10 year, stating you will promise to repay your loans & any accrued interest & fees to the U.S. Department of Education. This docent also explains all the terms & conditions of your loans.

Please complete your entrance counseling & sign your MPN through this website: https://studentloans.gov/myDirectLoan/index.action

It will be the first two bullet points under the undergraduate students tab.
